On 18 October will be held information day under the strategic project “Joint risk monitoring during emergencies in the Danube area border”, MIS ETC Code 166, financed by CBC Programme Romania – Bulgaria 2007 – 2013.
During this day, from 14.15 p.m experts from RIEW and Regional Laboratory – Veliko Tarnovo will make a demonstration of sampling and analysis of water samples from the Yantra river on Stambolov Bridge in the town of Veliko Tarnovo.
We invite the citizens of the town, students, NGOs and the media to join us.
The information day is dedicated to the World Water Monitoring Day – 18 October. It noted since 2002, as in the period September-October worldwide monitoring is carried out on quality of the water with monitoring of key indicators for human health and the viability of ecosystems. The idea is that monitoring involves the public, voluntary groups and organizations, schools and NGOs.
The Regional Inspectorate organizes the demonstration for the third time. Participants will have the opportunity to compare the results with data from 2005 and 2006 and to identify trends in surface water quality. Experts will provide information and materials for the Yantra river as the second largest Bulgarian tributary of the Danube river.
* In rainy weather, the event will be held at the Regional Laboratory – Veliko Tarnovo with demonstration of biological analysis of water samples from rivers in the region.
