The project “Joint risk monitoring during emergencies in the Danube border area”, implemented under Romania – Bulgaria Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013, was selected by the Managing Authority of the Programme – Romanian Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration to participate in the media campaign to promote joint initiatives which it supports. Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water in Veliko Tarnovo has been selected as a partner from Bulgaria for the presentation of the activities and the development of cross-border cooperation in the framework of the project. We accept this fact as recognition for the good work and high evaluation of achieved results.
Bulgarian leaders have focused on RIEW – Veliko Tarnovo initiatives to improve environmental security and strengthening the sustainability on disasters and accidents. They emphasized the contribution of the experts team for the results of joint work, the activation of bilateral dialogue, the implementation of new approaches and procedures, and outlined the prospects for development on achievements during the second planning period of our country’s membership in the European Union from 2014 to 2020.
